News Desk, News Nation 360 : West Bengal has seen a marked rise in the number of cases of infertility, according to Indira IVF, the country's largest network of hospitals providing infertility treatment. In this area, the company has seen a 10% yearly increase in patients. The study was presented at the Howrah Center's opening and the fifth anniversary of Indira IVF. Arup Roy, the West Bengal government's minister in charge of food processing industries and horticulture, presided over the event. Male infertility was found to be the most common cause of infertility among patients who contacted Indira IVF's centres in West Bengal, with approximately 86% of those treated having one of three conditions: very low sperm count, abnormal sperm shape, or abnormal sperm movement. Nitij Murdia, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Indira IVF stated that West Bengal faces a great deal of infertility, and they are dedicated to providing those in need with easy access to high-quality reproductive care. For the countless couples in the state who have fulfilled their dream of starting a family, their Howrah Centre is here to assist. They are honoured to commemorate this achievement. 13.9% of West Bengal's population was found to be sterile, which works out to almost 2 million people in the state who are of reproductive age. Lifestyle changes, delaying parenthood, and environmental factors are some of the causes of this. Approximately 11,500 cycles are completed annually in Kolkata alone, with Indira IVF accounting for 20% of those cycles.
