SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Airtel has introduced a recently developed smart feature designed to assist consumers in avoiding online fraud, particularly scams that attempt to trick users during a phone call and prompt the sharing of bank OTPs. Typically, the tricksters coordinate the attack during a critical period when the user needs a product or service, tricking the consumer into revealing the OTP. The system will enable the users of Airtel to stay safe from online scams. The system alerts the user if the OTP is sent from a bank account while the user is busy on a phone call. This will surely pause the consumer from transacting business and tricking the imitators of scams. This feature will complement the other technological solutions through the Airtel system, such as the alerting of users of potential spam calls and the blocking of malicious links, which have already helped to reduce online scams through the Airtel network. The overall objective of the Airtel system is to ensure that customers remain in charge of the situation and can improve security against the evolving cyber world of financial scams. Commenting on the initiative, Shashwat Sharma, Managing Director & CEO, Airtel India, stated that their goal is to establish Airtel as a secure network. As they strive toward this, they've realised that, despite One-Time Passwords' (OTPs') fundamental role in protecting digital transactions, criminal strategies are regularly undermining their effectiveness. As a result, they are happy to announce a major development in Airtel's network layer that will improve defences against banking fraud. Their recently created autonomous solution, driven by artificial intelligence, functions proactively at the network level and is designed to identify and stop fraudulent behaviour instantly. Numerous tests have shown an impressive degree of accuracy and effectiveness in reducing the threat of these scams.
