SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk, News Nation 360 : The dynamic team of restaurateurs Shiladitya and Debaditya Chaudhury, who created two of Kolkata's most popular fine dining establishments, Oudh 1590 & Chapter 2, recently unveiled Chaudhury & Company, a food haven inspired by Bengali history that resurrects and reimagines the lost art of Bengal's Pice Hotels. C&C is ready to take customers on a sentimental yet elegant trip into the essence of Bengali cuisine with its evocative motto, "Eey Kaler Rannay, Shey Kaler Swad" (Where The Present Palette Meets The Taste Of The Past). With great enthusiasm, Tollywood Icon Prosenjit Chatterjee inaugurated Chaudhury & Company. Shiladitya & Debaditya Chaudhury, Co-Founders, Chaudhury & Company, stated that Bengal's palace hotels are cultural establishments that have influenced the way they share, enjoy, and remember food. They are more than just restaurants. By striking a balance between authenticity and reinvention,

Chaudhury & Company is helping to preserve this legacy for a new generation. Their goal is to bring Bengali cuisine's forgotten delicacies back to the family table in a way that suits modern tastes. Additionally, it is more than just a physical restaurant; it is a labour of love for them. The cuisine their mother prepared for them as children still tastes as good as it did when they were growing up. Chaudhury & Company presents a menu that celebrates the classic and original tastes of Bengal, with an incredible array of signature dishes that combine traditional recipes with modern tastes. Customers can have drinks like Daab Sharbat and Tetuler Sharbat, and relish tea-time favourites such as Mochar Malai Chop, Fowl Cutlet, and Mutton Mughlai Paratha. Seafood lovers will enjoy signature dishes such as Golda Chingrir Chiney Kebab, Chingri Malai Curry, Gondhoraaj Kankra Chingri Bhapa, Daab Chingri, Ilish Bhapa, and Ilish Paturi. The menu also features staples for purists such as Luchi, Koraishutir Kochuri, and Basanti Pulao, and specialities such as Boror Shorshe Jhal, Thor Ghonto, and Gondhoraj Chhanar Paturi that reinterpret vegetarian heritage food with elegance. For meat lovers, some of the choices like Kosha Mangsho, Mutton Dak Bungalow, Shile Bata Murgi, and Railway Murgir Jhol are a tribute to the rich culinary heritage of Bengal. The meal is rounded out with bhortas (mashed vegetables), chutneys, and traditional sweets like Mishti Doi, Chhanar Payesh, and Rabri. There is also an expertly curated platter known as the *Pice Hotel Thala*, which brings together a choice of original Bengali flavours, much as traditional pice hotels used to. Any other dishes ordered in addition to the Thali are charged according to the menu.
