SERVES FOR NATION
News Desk, News Nation 360 : At the two-day luxury trunk show, the Chamak Dhamak Fashion & Lifestyle Exhibition Kolkata Edition, held in Kolkata, witnessed a glittering celebration of history and haute couture. The event, which took place on July 26 and 27, brought together the most coveted designers and lifestyle curators in India in one opulent location. Speaking on the occasion, Mazhar Badgujar, Founder of Green Entertainment, shared that Chamak Dhamak is a movement where style and soul come together, not merely an exhibition. Being a part of a platform that promotes sustainability, innovation, and Indian artists' craft makes them proud. Their goal was to promote a glitzy yet ethical fashion experience that appeals to contemporary Indian consumers. The occasion, which had the honored guest Kalyan Banerjee, Member of Parliament for Serampore, as well as the city's most prominent fashionistas, socialites, and influencers like Uzma Firoz and Naheed Begum, extended beyond its glamorous get-together to fulfill a noble purpose: bringing back India's heritage of renowned craftsmanship and preserving India's handwoven heritage and traditional artisanal craft in the face of the boom in fast fashion. With over 60 designer and lifestyle stalls, the show offered a carefully curated array of elite collections, such as classic silhouettes, elaborate embroidery, and high-end Indian weaves, honouring both timeless artistry and contemporary innovation. Every stall was a tribute to India's rich fashion heritage, with individual and refined pieces that highlighted the diversity of the nation's textile heritage. The function was coordinated well by Arti Modi and Sumit Banka with the collaboration of Green Entertainment, with a common thrust of ensuring that the country's extensive sartorial legacy is promoted and patronised. With exclusive collections from some of the greatest brands and names in Indian fashion, the exhibition showcased carefully chosen designer curation. The Kolkata edition was more than just an exhibition; it developed into a gathering place for designers, consumers, and artists who shared a passion for conscious fashion, culture, and couture.
