SERVES FOR NATION
News Desk, News Nation 360 : The Astor Kolkata's speciality restaurant, Kebab-e-que, celebrates the pleasures of summer with a decadent Mango Festival. The festival, which runs through June 30th, offers a specially designed à la carte menu for lunch (12:30 PM to 3:30 PM) and supper (7:00 PM to 11:45 PM). Each dish on this menu pays homage to the most popular fruit of the season, the mango, by showcasing its richness and adaptability. Think Alphonso Zucchini Lasagne with mango salsa, Sichuan Tofu with sliced raw mango and three peppers, and the fragrant Aam Corn Gost served with green chilli naan or steamed rice. The main course selections are a celebration of innovation. The traditional Aam Shol and the Kancha Aam-er Grilled Chicken give the buffet a more regional flavour. The Mango Festival at Kebab-e-que is a delectable tour of different mango
inventions. The customers can begin with cool tropical beverages like Fresh Mango Boba Tea. Another retro-style offering is "Who Tweaked My Granny's Aam Panna?". A wellness-driven option is the Mango and Chia Seeds Lassi. The festival also provides little plates like the Tropical Soul Bowl. Pulled Jackfruit Poppers are also on the menu. Thai Mango Fish is an added spice of flavour. Harissa Chicken Skewers round out the colourful intro. Desserts are a charming ending to the festival. The Mango Kulfi at Astor Way is another showstopper with ingredients including a whole mango filled with kulfi. It is topped with a Rose Tart that is prepared from Murshidabad mangoes and is an ideal summer dessert. The Mango Cheesecake with sea salt and salsa is another great summer choice. With bold flavours and a retro vibe, the Mango Festival at Kebab-e-que is a seasonal event not to be overlooked.
