SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk, News Nation 360 : On the occasion of World Trauma Day, ILS Hospitals, Dumdum (16th October) and ILS Hospitals, Howrah (17th October), in collaboration with Bidhannagar Police, Barrackpore Police, and Howrah City Police, organised a community connect initiative called "Ghore Ferar Angikar" — a pledge to return home safely. The program aims to increase public awareness about road safety and trauma management, while also enhancing community preparedness for medical emergencies. Helmets were handed to bikers at important city junctions, including Biswa Bangla More, Nagerbazar More, and Airport Gate No.1, as part of the Dumdum program to encourage responsible riding and adherence to traffic safety rules. Simultaneously, specialised doctors from ILS Hospitals, Dumdum, held CPR and Trauma Handling Training Sessions for police officials and ambulance crews in Baranagar PS, Belghoria PS, and Dumdum. The lessons covered Basic Life Support (BLS), Trauma Mobilisation, and Emergency Patient Management, providing frontline responders with critical life-saving skills. Participants who completed the course were awarded certificates from ILS Hospitals, recognising their ability to handle trauma situations. Debasish Dhar, Senior Vice President & Chief Business Development, ILS Hospitals, stated that on World Trauma Day, they are honoured to work with Bidhannagar, Barrackpore, and Howrah Police to organise awareness campaigns in strategic places to encourage two-wheeler users to wear helmets and be safe. GPT Healthcare believes that prevention is the first step towards saving lives. This project, titled 'Ghore Ferar Angikar', aims to remind everyone that road safety is not simply a rule, but a responsibility they owe to themselves and their loved ones.
