News Desk, News Nation 360 : The most prevalent stomach issues during the monsoon season are viral diarrhoea and bacterial dysentery. Fruits and vegetables washed in contaminated water and tainted drinking water sources are the most frequent causes. Among the common illnesses that arise are cholera, jaundice, typhoid, dysentery, and viral gastroenteritis. Cooled or filtered packaged water is recommended. Avoid eating raw vegetables and instead consume steamed or boiled ones. Also, refrain from consuming fruits from street vendors. Intake probiotics like yoghurt and buttermilk in place of carbonated or cola beverages, and keep yourself hydrated with proper hand hygiene and predominantly consume fresh, home-cooked food that is always covered. Wash vegetables extensively with cooled boiled water prior to use, and have all home-prepared food covered. Children must always wash their hands and feet upon return from the outdoors, avoid touching railings and public surfaces that are not covered, and be cautioned against swimming in water that may be contaminated. Children should not touch animals and must wash their hands extensively if they do. Food handlers must be screened to determine whether or not they are carrying diseases. Adhering to these habits reduces the risk of contracting stomach infections and supports overall health during the rainy season.
