Satkrit Healthcare - SIRNR Organised Press Meet for Musculo-Skeletal & Vascular Ultrasound Training in Rheumatology Diagnosis & Treatment

News Desk, News Nation 360 : A Press Meet was organized by Satkrit Healthcare - Institute of Rheumatology & Neuro-Muscular Rehabilitation (SIRNR) on Recognition by ILAR (International League of Associations for Rheumatology) for Musculo–Skeletal & Vascular Ultrasound Training in Rheumatology Diagnosis & Treatment. Diagnosis and Treatment for Rheumatology Auto-immune conditions such as Arthritis (Inflammation of Joints) and Vasculitis (Inflammation of Blood Vessels) have become extremely important for society so that they get the proper diagnosis when faced with an unexplained medical condition. Speaking at the Press Conference, Prof. Dr Bhaskar Dasgupta said that their Institute is ‘A Centre of Excellence for Rheumatology and Rehabilitation’ Right Knowledge, Right Treatment and they have been recognized by ILAR. They are organizing

the training Workshop in Kolkata for radiologists, oncologists, nurses and other healthcare professionals to uplift them in their field. In the Press Meet Prof. Dr Bhaskar Dasgupta, Reputed Rheumatologist from London, Dr Krishna Poddar, Senior Pain Specialist Head, Kolkata Pain Clinic, Prof. Dr Parasar Ghosh, HOD (Cl. Immunology & Rheumatology), SSKM, Dr Rashmi Roongta, DM (Cl. Immunology & Rheumatology), and Dr Pushpaketu Koner, (PT) Sports Medicine Sheffield University, UK were present. The project will lead by Prof. Dr Bhaskar Dasgupta, MD, FRCP, Chairman SIRNR, Consultant Rheumatologist, Prof. Dr Parasar Ghosh, HOD (Cl. Immunology & Rheumatology) and Dr Rashmi Roongta, DM (Cl. Immunology & Rheumatology). The project will involve 12 (twelve) MSUS & VUS training workshops, 6 in the Greater Kolkata region (Saltlake, South Kolkata/SSKM, North Kolkata/RG Kar, Barasat, Garia, Howrah) and 6 in various cities/regions of West Bengal. The 12 workshops will be conducted over 12 months from February 2023 to December 2023. The aim of this project is to provide Musculo-skeletal Ultrasound (MSUS) & Vascular Ultrasound (VUS) training to radiologists, oncologists, and other healthcare professionals so that Doctors can then effectively and accurately provide these diagnostic services to patients. It is a major unmet need for MSUS and VUS to become part of the core diagnostic services in every healthcare centre, so that clinicians, orthopaedic surgeons and physicians, rheumatologists, and internists have ready access to these reports, and can diagnose and prescribe better.
