News Desk, News Nation 360 : Peshkar Academy of Performing Arts (PAPA) was established in 2018 by tabla maestro pt. Subhen Chatterjee, along with a few most competent music teachers with the hope of making a music school with a difference (right from their way of teaching to presenting their students to their audiences in a unique way) and despite the two-year close down (2020 & 2021) due to Covid-19 they have achieved to have nearly 75 students in the fields of tabla, vocal & sitar. This academy makes a unique and enduring contribution to the world of music by advancing the development and inculcating the values as well as the richness of the Indian cultural heritage among the next generation through great classically trained musicians and cultivating discerning, appreciative, and adventurous audiences. Chatterjee and the excellent execution skills of Arindam Bhadra Barman, Peshkar have presented a gala musical event that aims to motivate and provide a platform as well as an opportunity for budding musicians to showcase their talent and become more confident, on 18th December 2022 in Kolkata. This event will be ornamented by the presence and a grand performance by the Grammy Awardee Mohan Veena Maestro Padmabhushan Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt and others. Bandish Fusion (one of India's best-known fusion bands) featuring Grammy winner Mohan Veena maestro Padmabhushan Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Internationally acclaimed tabla maestro Pt. Subhen Chatterjee with eminent singers Raghab Chatterjee, Miss Jojo, Paroma, Subhankar Bhaskar, Dipannita Acharya & Ujjaini with some of the best-known musicians like MTV's famed drummer Sambit, Zee Sa Re Ga Ma famed guitar player Suvam & others were also a part of the splendid event.
