From more than 200 entries, 73 official selections have been screened from 9th October to 11th October. The judicial panel of the 8th season is Srimati Shila Datta, Popular Singer Shidharta Shankar Roy (Sidhu), Famous Indian Director Ashok Vishwanathan, National Award-winning director Hiren Bora and international dramatist, cinematographer, writer, director Sabyasachi Biswas. Full-length films, documentaries, Music videos, and Short Films from different parts of the world have been screened at this festival for the last 3 days. A total of 30 categories have been awarded, And 55 awards have been given.  All the judges were present at the closing economy of the event. Many artists and technicians attended the closing ceremony of the 8th Durgapur International Film Festival,2023 including Chhanda Chatterjee, Krishna Kishor, Shankar Ghosh, Avrajit Chakraborty, Respected Director Sushil Mazumder’s grand son Sanjay Misra and others. The festival was going on for 3 days at Muktangan, Rashbihari More, Kolkata.
