The Second Edition of the International Museum Expo Started at Science City Kolkata

News Desk, News Nation 360 : In Science City, Kolkata, the International Museum Expo II got underway. In the august presence of Mugdha Sinha, Joint Secretary, GLAM Division, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India; Jivan Bachav, Dy. Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India; A. D. Choudhury, DG, NCSM; Samarendra Kumar, DDG, NCSM; and Anurag Kumar, Director, Science City, Kolkata, Dr Shekhar C. Mande, Chairman, Governing Body, NCSM, and former DG, CSIR, Secretary, DSIR, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The International Museum Expo is held annually beginning on May 18, 2024, to commemorate International Museum Day. The inaugural event took place at Delhi's Pragati Maidan last year. Techscapes in Museum Storytelling," "Echoes of Ingenuity: Reminiscences of the Industrial Evolution," "Brilliance Beyond Borders: Our Triumphs, Trials, and Travails at the Science Nobels," and "Indian Women in Science: Busts and Murals" are among the exhibitions on display at Science City, Kolkata as part of the expo. In addition to these, visitors can watch the digital panorama film on Durga Puja, Canvas Cyclorama: The Pulse of Indian Artistry. "Pulse of Immortal Artistry" suggests that the artwork is alive and pulses, allowing viewers to encounter the timeless spirit of Indian art freshly. "Canvas Cyclorama" suggests a continuous panoramic canvas. Sarah Kenderdine, the director of EPFL's Lab for Experimental Museology in Lausanne, Switzerland, gave the keynote speech on "Computational Museuology: Art and Science in the Age of Experience" following the first session. Renowned dancer Dona Ganguly gave a captivating Odissi dance performance after this. In addition to these, the expo's mascot is on exhibit.
