International Pride Month encourages individuals, organizations and governments to come together and reaffirm their commitment to inclusivity, and work towards a future where diversity is celebrated and everyone can live with pride and dignity, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender biases. It is an occasion to pay tribute to those who have lost their lives due to hate crimes and to bring to light the ongoing challenges faced by LGBTQ+ communities all across. The 2023 theme at ibis Kolkata Rajarhat is Rage and Resilience- also reflecting the current global sentiment with the resurgence of anti-LGBT bills and laws. The idea is to work on breaking barriers both physical and metaphorical, to create an inclusive world where everyone can survive without the fear of discrimination or prejudice.
