News Desk, News Nation 360 : A sudden fire destroyed a section of the Anandapur slum in Kolkata, which is next to the EM bypass. At least fifty huts and stores were destroyed by fire on Sunday. Temporary camps have been established to house the impacted impoverished residents. This time, Bharat Sevashram Sangha reached out to them for cooperation by offering a range of financial and non-financial support. On the initiative of Swami Biswatmananda Maharaj, Principal Secretary of the Sangha, Swami Atmajnananda, Swami Satyamitrananda, Swami Venkotasananda, Swami Mahadevananda and South Kolkata MP and Chairperson of Kolkata Municipal Corporation Mala Roy, blankets, sheets, clothes, plates, utensils, pots, dry food, and cash were distributed to the affected slum dwellers. The relief supplies were given over by the Sangha monks. According to Mala Roy, impoverished people are receiving various forms of assistance. In addition, under the KMC's initiative, steps are being taken to swiftly construct new homes for them.
